Keystone Dermatology Partners Joins the QualDerm Network

QualDerm Continues to Expand Pennsylvania Network of High-Quality Dermatology Practices

BRENTWOOD, TN (October 14, 2022)

QualDerm Partners, a company that creates market-leading dermatology practice partnerships through affiliations and de novo development, today announced Keystone Dermatology Partners has joined the company’s network of affiliated physician-owned practices.

Keystone Dermatology Partners provides a full range of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology care and specializes in skin cancer detection and removal, including Mohs surgery. Founded by Cliff Perlis, MD, MBE, the practice has three office locations in King of Prussia, Willow Grove and Philadelphia. In addition to Dr. Perlis, the clinical staff includes Karen Limaye, NP, and Amy Levinson, NP.

“Since founding my practice, I’ve been committed to providing the highest-level of patient care possible,” says Dr. Perlis. “I chose to partner with QualDerm because of their dedication to quality, patient-centric care. I look forward to working with QualDerm to continue expanding patient access to high-quality dermatology care across Pennsylvania.”

Dr. Perlis, a board-certified dermatologist and Fellowship trained Mohs surgeon, completed his undergraduate degree at Stanford University. He earned both his medical degree and a master’s degree in bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Perlis completed his dermatology residency and a Fellowship in Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at Brown University. Prior to founding Keystone Dermatology Partners, he directed the Mohs surgery program at Fox Chase Cancer Center for nine years. He also served as chairman of the Fox Chase Cancer Center IRB. Dr. Perlis is an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He is also an Editor Emeritus for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and has published several scholarly articles and book chapters, as well as co-edited a book on ethics in dermatology. Additionally, Dr. Perlis serves as a consultant to various dermatology-related pharmaceutical and medical device innovators.

In September, Pennsylvania-based dermatology practices, Pittsburgh Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center and Scott J.M. Lim, DO, also joined the QualDerm network. These practices are based in Monroeville and Erie, respectively. QualDerm entered the Pennsylvania market in 2018 through a partnership with Zitelli & Brodland, PC and has grown the regional network to now include 14 affiliated practice locations. The company’s full network includes 63 practice locations and centralized laboratory services across Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia. QualDerm has plans to expand further.

Physician leadership and quality of care are at the core QualDerm’s partnership model. The company utilizes regional Joint Operating Committees and a physician-led Quality Council to help guide the company’s policies and growth. These groups are made up of a combination of physicians and business professionals to ensure patient care and safety standards remain at the highest levels.

“Dr. Perlis and his team are known for providing patients with the highest levels of dermatology and skin cancer care possible,” says Bill Southwick, Chief Executive Officer of QualDerm. “We are honored Keystone Dermatology Partners has joined our network and look forward to helping Dr. Perlis further enhance and grow the practice.”
