The Laser Institute of Pinehurst Joins QualDerm’s Growing Network of Patient-Centric Practices

Based in North Carolina, The Laser Institute of Pinehurst, uses the latest technology to provide effective skin care treatments for a wide variety of skin conditions. Ofelia N. Melley, MD, a board-certified physician, founded the practice in 2006. The practice’s staff also includes Chassidy Young, PA-C, Abby Hiller, DNP, and 4 aestheticians.
Dr. Melley earned her medical degree from The Autonomous University of Guadalajara in 1980. She then completed an internship at George Washington University and a residency in Family Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She is double board-certified in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Prior to founding The Laser Institute of Pinehurst, Dr. Melley spent 22 years practicing family and emergency medicine and teaching. She has completed certifications in Weight Management and Bio-identical Hormone Therapy and provides an advanced approach to managing weight and wellness.
