QualDerm Partners Expands Its Network of Dermatology Practices into Delaware

Webster Dermatology Joins QualDerm’s Growing Network of Patient-Centric Practices

BRENTWOOD, TN (November 9, 2020)

QualDerm Partners, a company that creates market-leading dermatology practice partnerships through affiliations and de novo development, today announced Webster Dermatology has joined the company as an affiliate practice. This affiliation marks QualDerm’s first partnership in Delaware.

Webster Dermatology, located in Hockessin, specializes in diagnosing, managing and treating general and medical dermatology conditions for patients of all ages. The practice was founded by Cynthia Webster, MD. The practice’s current clinical staff includes Guy Webster, MD, PhD, FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist, Gwen Dalphon, PA-C, and Lorraine Grimes, CFNP.

“We are excited to partner with QualDerm and to be affiliated with some of the highest-caliber dermatology practices in the country,” says Dr. Guy Webster. “This partnership will help us expand our patients’ access to advanced dermatology services.”

Dr. Guy Webster has 30 years’ experience in dermatology.  He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed his dermatology residency at New York University. Dr. Webster is an attending physician at Wilmington Veterans Administration where he supervises Jefferson Dermatology residents. He is the founding president of the American Acne and Rosacea Society, a Fellow of the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology as well as a member of the Society for Investigative Dermatology.

Dr. Webster has been published in numerous medical journals such as the Lancet, Journal of the American Medical Association, British Medical Journal, the British Journal of Dermatology, the Annals of Internal Medicine, and Dermatology. He is on the editorial boards of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatology Online Journal, Clinics in Dermatology, and Skin Therapy Letter, and serves as a reviewer for many journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Archives of Dermatology, Archives of Pediatrics, and the International Journal of Dermatology. Dr. Webster has lectured extensively on the national and international levels. He was named to the America’s Best Doctors list 2004-2008, and his most recent book, Acne and Its Therapy, was published in 2007.

Over the last few years, QualDerm has expanded its presence in the Northeast. Zitelli & Brodland, P.C. was QualDerm’s first partnership in the region. The company currently has a total of 48 practice locations in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, and Georgia, with plans to expand further.

Dermatology practices that partner with QualDerm have access to management support, guidance and capital for service expansion and growth. QualDerm is committed to maintaining its affiliated physicians’ clinical autonomy, which ensures patient care remains at the highest levels. The company’s  management structure is organized into Regional Joint Operating Committees whose membership is made up of both physicians and business professionals. This structure allows practice management decisions to be made based on local market needs and conditions.

“Since the beginning, QualDerm has selectively partnered with practices that have a reputation for providing the highest quality dermatology care,” says Bill Southwick, Chief Executive Officer of QualDerm. “Webster Dermatology has delivered on that promise for decades. We look forward to helping them expand their services even further.”
