Dr. Ellen Jacobson’s Belle Meade-based Practice is QualDerm’s Fifth Affiliated Practice Location in Tennessee

Ellen Jacobson, MD, a board-certified dermatologist, is the founder of SkinMD which is located in the Belle Meade area of Nashville. The practice provides general dermatology, skin cancer care and cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Jacobson earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis. After that, she spent two years at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Jacobson then returned to Tennessee to complete a dermatology residency at the University of Tennessee. A Nashville native, Dr. Jacobson is actively involved in the community and served on the Mayor’s Green Ribbon Committee on Environmental Sustainability.
In 2017, QualDerm partnered with its first Tennessee practice, Cumberland Skin Surgery and Dermatology, which has locations in Hendersonville, Hermitage and Lebanon. Brentwood Dermatology is also a local QualDerm-affiliated practice. The company currently has a total of 45 practice locations in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, with plans to expand further.
